Presenting authors should complete their registration by August 11, 2024.
Lecture Presentations
Lecture presentations will be a total of 15 minutes long (12 minutes for presentation + 3 minutes for Q&A). For invited talks, the presentations will be 30 minutes (25 minutes for presentation + 5 minutes for Q&A). Authors should bring their PPT presentation on a USB drive. Authors will need to upload their slides to the presentation laptop in their session room in the morning or during one of the coffee/lunch breaks prior to their session.
Be warned that movies embedded in the presentations are not guaranteed to be played. In addition, avoid using fonts that are not present in the Windows operating system.
Speakers should arrive in their session room 30 minutes BEFORE the start of their session to report to the Session Chair.
The projectors are designed for 16:9 presentations so the authors are encouraged to prepare their presentations with that proportion. There is not a required template but presenters can use the UFFC-JS 2024 PowerPoint template.
VIRTUAL: If you selected to attend virtually, we will play your pre-recorded video during the live lecture session. You can join your presentation's question and answer (Q&A) session via Zoom. This is optional. The Zoom link is for presenters only and should not be shared. In-person presentations will not be streamed via Zoom.
Poster Presentations
Poster sessions will take place on September 23, 24, 25, and 26. Each poster presenter is assigned to present on a specific day - presenters are expected to be at their poster during the full session. Assigned poster sessions can be found here: https://epapers2.org/uffc2024/ESR/session_sched_view.php?sched_id=2
The poster time slots are as follows:
- Monday, September 23: 14:30 – 16:30
- Tuesday, September 24: 14:30 – 16:30
- Wednesday, September 25: 14:30 – 16:30
- Thursday, September 26: 14:30 - 16:30
Authors are required to print their own poster and are responsible for hanging up their poster before the start of the session and removing them after the session ends. Materials to hang your poster will be provided. Authors should be present by their poster for questions for the full length of the session.
The usable space on the poster board size A0 in portrait/vertical format (90cm wide by 120cm high). We require you to print your poster in advance and bring with you on-site. There is not a required template but presenters may use the UFFC-JS 2024 template.
Each poster board onsite will be marked with a number that directly correlates with each poster in the program. Please place your poster on the assigned board. Pins and/or tape will be provided.
If you forget or misplace you poster and need to print at the conference, you can contact rona@elitepco.com.tw.
- The cost to print before the conference is NT$1200.
- The cost to print during the conference is NT$1500, and will be deliver the next day.
Virtual poster presenters should not order their poster to be printed, these will be available online only and space has not been allocated for these.
VIRTUAL: If you are a virtual poster presenter, we highly recommend having a colleague print your poster and hang it for you. If you are able to have a proxy presenter onsite to discuss your poster in person, this is preferable. There is not a live poster session for virtual presenters; you will need to check your presentation within the CONFlux platform to monitor questions.
