NEW PUBLICATION TRACKS FOR UFFC JOINT SYMPOSIUM 2024
This year, authors will have the following options to publish their work presented at the Joint Symposium (JS):
1. Publish in conference proceedings as usual. Follow the instructions below for submission through the IEEE UFFC JS 2024 Submission Portal.
- Authors may also submit an extended version (~8-10 pgs.) of their proceedings to either
- OJ-UFFC (https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/oj-uffc) or
- T-UFFC (https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tuffc-ieee)
OR
2. Submit a letter (3 pages minimum, 4 pages maximum length) to OJ-UFFC that will go through a full peer review. Letters based on work presented at JS and submitted before October 15, 2024, will be marked as “UFFC JS highlights” to comprise a special section if the number of published contributions is sufficient. Publishing in the Open Journal – UFFC will provide open access for your paper if it is accepted. https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/oj-uffc
During your submission, specify in your cover letter that you are submitting a manuscript based on a presentation in the UFFC JS. The article processing charge for OJ-UFFC will be waived for letters submitted before 31 December 2024. T-UFFC no longer accepts letters; however, OJ-UFFC will continue accepting submissions in the letter format.
Manuscripts submitted as an extended version of a conference proceeding (to IEEE T-UFFC or OJ-UFFC) or as a letter (to OJ-UFFC only) will enjoy the benefits of peer review to improve the quality of the publication, and the authors will be able to list these publications under peer-reviewed publications. These publication tracks will also give the authors the opportunity to add material in their manuscripts and incorporate comments they might have received during their conference presentations.
All articles published in IEEE T-UFFC and OJ-UFFC are evaluated in accordance with the requirements set forth in the IEEE Publication Services and Products Board (PSPB) Operations Manual (Sections 8.2). More detailed information on the review process can be found at https://ieee-uffc.org/publication/t-uffc/guidelines-authors
All submissions must be unpublished and prepared for potential publication according to the indicated format requirements, and not be under consideration elsewhere. By submitting, all authors confirm that the work is original. Figures, tables, and reported results are original contributions and accurately reflect the presented work at the conference. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to obtain consent from all co-authors and sponsors before submission.
